Brother Robert, known as Brother Bob, lives in Hoboken, New Jersey in a modest apartment for senior citizens. In a spirit of poverty he chose to live with seniors who face many economic challenges in their daily lives.

In 1971 Brother Bob first accepted an invitation from Bishop Gerard O"Keefe to come to the diocese of Burlington, Iowa to establish a program for young people in need. Residential groups homes were established to avoid institutionalization. After this ministry Brother Bob was invited by our Sisters of the Poor of St. Francis to come to New Jersey to establish a program for AIDS patients. He started this FAITH ministry in a single room at St. Mary's Hospital. Since then it has grown into an independent agency operating in three different locations and in still operating. He was honored with the National AIDS caregiver award - making him one of twenty recipients of this award in the United States.
